Note: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND MAP BEFORE YOU COME! THE ALBAICIN IS THE HISTORIC QUARTER AND IT IS VERY EASY TO LOSE YOURSELF!
Due to traffic regulations in Granada, driving inside the city by car is very complicated and you can get fined easily. From 8:00 to 22:00 h, only authorized vehicles are allowed to circulate along the city center.
Furthermore, access to “El Albaicin” is controlled by automatic bollards and cameras that restrict access from Monday to Thursday between 11:00-14:00h and 20:00 -24:00h. From Friday to Sunday this restriction takes place between 11:00-14:00h and 20:00-05:00h.
It is also very difficult to park in “El Albaicin” because most of the streets are pedestrian and the quarter it is very labyrinthine. You will need a browser or move with the Maps app to get there. The nearest car access to Makuto it is “Calle Santa Isabel La Real”.
